The next live stream tackles the subject of social media and it's effects on fishing. If you're an angler, tackle shop owner, if you're involved in a club who use social media, share your experiences, and we'll raise them during the stream.
Youtube @ 20:00gmt, Saturday 18th
@rlrbaker I'd have no idea, certainly they've been decreasing in numbers, those who didn't diversify in to online have found out harder and harder, those who were successful bought out by bigger players. New territory for the industry at present! What if AD fails?
Huge industry issues at the moment, shops closing or on the brink, shows cancelled, fisheries bring poached. Let's hope gvt support lands in time, angling hugely impacted by seasonality...
That said, we need to stay at home!
At 20:00 gmt we are making YouTube live stream, about the current situation in an angling context.
Post below any questions, feelings or opinions about how the virus is impacting your fishing. Love to hear from anglers, guides, shops etc. Drop us a question or comment below
Nice to finally sit down and tie a few for my own boxes! I don't use many nymphs without a bead these days, but that slim profile and 'bugginess' of a Czech nymph still does it for me. It still does it for the fish too!
@FullingMillUK Czech Nymph hook, absolute classic
@breiteryte and I finally found time to make a vlog! Irish pike, English grayling and me losing the plot....

One of the things I enjoy about fly tying is being able to crank on some tunes, but when I stuck @museband on, Spotify took the piss.
First track: Thought Contagion
Second track: Panic Station
Third track: Time is Running Out
Decided I quite like the peace and quiet π

Ah yes, the old closed season debate. Who knows when it ends and when it starts (the debate that is, not the season)

One of the great things about going to shows is being able to bounce ideas around, so when I was asked about the possibility of me tying some smaller flies on slightly larger hooks, I ran with the idea.... sz18 CDC olive dun on a size 8/0, looks ok to me

π½if I've learned one thing, I can't count! Episode five, the last in the series of my favourite grayling nymphs, is now live! π₯
