🔥 Canadian grandma just read The Globe and Mail’s latest and absolutely unloaded.
Article says: “As Canada faces crippling debt, it must do the unpopular thing and cut elderly benefits.”
Her response?
“These are the ones who paid the taxes in this country for how many years… the ones who have defended this country through our military.”
Instead of cutting seniors, how about stopping the immigration spending, the money we ship overseas, and the “lavish meals our prime minister spends upon himself”?
“I am so fucking sick of this country… get rid of this fucking tyranny.”
Seniors built Canada. They paid in. Now they want to cut their benefits while everything else balloons?
What do you think — fair or outrageous?

Of course there is no "breach". The information was in the public domain - always has been. Yes, candidates are told it is "private" when it is handed to them but everyone knows there are no controls. Except it seems dishonest fear-mongerer @nenshi. If the system needed changing why didn't @albertaNDP change it?
Liberal Super Majority
New Polls have the Liberals eliminating the Conservatives wiping them off the MAP.
Either the Polls are wrong or Canadians love the last 11 years so much they want MUCH more of the same.
They chose @nenshi - the most dishonest politician in Alberta, possibly Canada. This trail of lies and radical Left propaganda is going to go on from now until the Referendum. Just keep reminding Albertans the facts - their Pensions cannot be stolen out from under them. But the feds can and have taxed then into destitution if they stay. And that's no Socialist Lie - Read the Book.
@albertaradios@cd_lmh And, the propaganda war escalates! Wonder if they are telling Albertans that Carney’s government already has eyes on the CPP investment fund⬇️ and they are also actively considering taking OAS away from pensioners with a family income of more than $100,000.
When your gov't's performance over the last ten yrs is so bad that debt is thru the roof, bureaucratic failure so eye-watering and corruption is rampant I guess hiding is the only option. What doesn't smack Central/East Liberal voters right btw the eyes doesn't exist so what do the Libs care, as long as they can hide & CBC/CTV can run shotgun for them.
Nothing screams transparency more than shutting down cameras so what happens during committee isn’t able to be seen by anyone. Four committees so far within a week have had the cameras shut off. Ethics, health, science and transport committees.
Turning off the cameras makes it impossible for opposition MPs to discuss publicly what happened behind closed doors.
Michelle Rempel is not going to stop asking how the former IRGC official was approved to come to Canada. She wants answers. Who approved the permit? Why can’t Carney comment about it?

🚨BREAKING: Ottawa Police command officers pushing new internal charges against Detective Helen Grus over documentary appearance.
Two highly placed sources, neither of them Detective Grus nor anyone on her legal team, advise this reporter that @OttawaPolice command has held two meetings in April concerning Grus’s appearance in the coming major documentary Silencing Detective Grus, as well as other online shows and news media.
I am satisfied the information is credible.
One of these same sources told me in September 2022 that Grus would soon be unsuspended and ordered back to work at the Robbery Squad. That was two weeks before Grus or her lawyer were informed.
The source was correct.
Now I am told Ottawa Police command officers are divided. Some are pushing new internal disciplinary charges against Detective Grus. Others are advising OPS to leave the situation alone.
More to come.
This isn’t “$300M vanished” clickbait.
In 2022, TELUS said the quiet part out loud, adoption was a problem. By May 2024, Infoway was looking for new ownership.
MPs asked for contracts, IP terms, payments and penalties between Infoway & Telus!
That's when Camera's go dark!!!
I know it's longer than usual, but it's worth it if you really want to know why the Liberals shut down committee yesterday. I pull back the curtains on what they're hiding for anyone who wants to know!
𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆.
PrescribeIT is the kind of government failure that hides behind words like digital health, innovation, and modernization. We've seen it before from Liberals with things like Arrivescam.
In plain English, it was supposed to help doctors send prescriptions to pharmacies without dragging the country through another decade of fax machines. Then federal money went to Canada Health Infoway, TELUS became the major technical player, and suddenly a simple prescription system turned into a nearly $300 million procurement swamp.
“𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗴𝗹𝘆.”
Michael Green, Infoway’s CEO, sits in the middle of the institutional story. TELUS wasn’t some side contractor either. They were selected in 2017 to help build and operate PrescribeIT by Infoway themselves. Then in 2022, TELUS basically said the quiet part out loud: adoption was a problem because doctors, pharmacies, EMR vendors, and pharmacy systems all had to play along and the foreboding reality was they weren't, and yet money still kept flowing to this obviously failed project.
𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲.”
Then comes the money. TELUS reportedly received about $98 million, while PrescribeIT failed to reach the adoption needed to survive and they knew about this since 2022. So the real question isn’t just what Ottawa spent. It’s what taxpayers actually bought. What did Canada own? What did Infoway own? What did TELUS own? Turns out Telus owns it all and we just gave them free money and they keep all the tech.
“𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁.”
Matt Strauss asked for the actual file: the 2017 Infoway-TELUS contract, amendments, renewals, IP ownership records, payment records, penalties, and termination details. In other words, the paper trail that would show whether the public got value or got played.
“𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗣 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗵𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻.”
Not the fluff. Not the slogans. The contract guts. So when the meeting reportedly went dark, the fair question is obvious: why does a failed e-prescribing project need this much discretion around who got paid, who owned what, and what Canada was left holding when it all fell apart?
Vesper
It's just the same old money pit that we've grown accustomed to with this @liberal_party gov't combined with its abysmal incompetence. Cnd taxpayers are being scammed & robbed over & over & never held accountable by voters. The majority simply shrug & vote for them again.
Why blame Telus - they were just doing what they were paid to do - build the system. If no one came to use it I guess it wasn't their fault. The gov't knew their 'grand scheme' was nothing but another boondoggle but didn't stop it so why would Telus not just keep cashing the cheque? If the gov't didn't care why would they?
@LukaszukAB@nenshi want to take away your right to vote on an initiative started and supported by everyday Albertans. They claim that even talking out loud regarding Alberta Independence is a threat to our economy? We are now at a point in this country where debate is looked down on, instead of encouraged. What are these guys so afraid of??? The truth? If you want to ensure you know both sides of this important issue, go to a town hall, get in touch with local groups and have a meeting in your home. @independenceab @albertaproperityproj @stayfreealberta can give you information after the petition campaign is over on May 2, 2026. Most importantly today, make sure you sign the petition if you haven't already. Many organizations are preparing a campaign to ensure you get all the information you need to make an informed decision on October 19, 2026.

In-house @PrivyCouncilCa research shows public's skeptical of @GregorRobertson housing plan with "very few believing it was headed in the right direction."
https://t.co/CXbqRCL2JO @HICC_ca
He was given the mandate three times by Calgarians to spread his nasty divisive politics & his contempt for citizens. (I was part of a large gathering standing on the steps of City Hall waiting for him to come out of his lair and speak to us; he couldn't be bothered). Now he's convinced he can act like this & still attract the same careless votes. I guess we'll see.
The "national compensation fund to date has paid out $21,474,722 on injury and death claims attributed to Covid shots.”
Yes Canadian taxpayers - you pay for it "going in AND coming out". Instead of putting a greater reliance on voluntary Covid flu vaccines as we've always done - therefore no liability - the Liberals decided to make them mandatory & fire anyone who wldn't comply. So now 100s or thousands were harmed by the CV vaxx so now we taxpayers are made to pay for that, too. https://t.co/OvMqGaL2k4
@nenshi Who told you you were an honest and decent guy Nenshi? They were flattering you. You were a terrible Mayor - credible rumours of how you cheated to win an election, bribed donors w contracts, raised taxes, neglected needed infrastructure & held citizens hostage with bad bylaws.
Why are you lying about the budget and leaving out details that don't seem to bother you NDP Socialists who thrive on excessive spending and waste where it pleases you and dishonesty and falsehoods about what doesn't?:
not a peep about city council’s $100 million corporate slush fund.
no mention of the fact that Calgary councillors receive higher salaries than their counterparts in other provinces and pensions that cost taxpayers more than pensions in Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa combined.
no mention of the two pensions the mayor is receiving, the hundreds of city employees who are receiving two or three pensions and that labour costs have ballooned by hundreds of millions of dollars since 2014.
The city’s own data disproves the mayor’s claim that taxes are below inflation & population growth.
Another falsehood: City "saved" 740 million when they just spent less than projected. THAT is NOT a spending but to anyone but a Socialist @nenshi.
Is this the sort of palaver that sells with your @albertaNDP membership?https://t.co/McNVo67MYM
