Penelope - Ropewalks 📍

A workgroup of various stakehokders has kicked off to bring Penelope back to life!

Initial progress has been made, bringing electricity back into the structure. More work will now need to take place to open and revitalise the globes. #ProudlyIndependent

We want to make Baltic Triangle a better place to work, live & visit. The Independents’ BID is proposing a range of improvements, based on the priorities of businesses here and linking us with Ropewalks and Chinatown – whilst preserving our individual character.

Ropewalks ✨💚

A cultural hub for independent shops, restaurants, bars, nightlife and galleries, Ropewalks takes its name from the craft of rope-making for the sailor ships that dominated the area in the 19th century!

Over the last 18 months we’ve been listening to the concerns of businesses in these three key areas, and by working together, it is clear there is an opportunity for us to take control of our own areas by creating a Business Improvement District (BID). #ProudlyIndependent 2/3
