Today, I participated in the programme held at Bhergaon Tea Garden for the distribution of one-time financial assistance cheques to tea garden workers under the “Eti Koli, Duti Paat” scheme, and personally handed over the cheques to the workers.

At today’s event, the Bhergaon Block Development Officer Shri Jadav Chandra Kalita, BJP Udalguri District President Shri Ajay Hazarika, General Secretary Shri Jousrang Boro, Yuva Morcha District President Shri Samar Hazarika, Tea Garden Manager Shri Naba Prakash Bora, along with other dignitaries, were present.

Under this scheme, an amount of over ₹300 crore will be spent to provide one-time financial assistance of ₹5,000 each to more than 6 lakh workers and employees of tea gardens across the state.

For this welfare-oriented initiative, we extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our respected Chief Minister, the popular leader Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma ji.

Around midnight, I inspected the upcoming Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge to be dedicated by Adarniya @narendramodi ji this February. Once completed it will be one of the most scenic bridges in India.

Today, I participated in the cheque distribution programme held at Bhutiachang Tea Garden under the Tangla Legislative Assembly Constituency, where one-time financial assistance cheques were distributed among tea garden workers under the “Eti Koli, Duti Paat” scheme.

The programme was attended by Harisinga Revenue Circle Officer Smt. Madira Begum, BJP Assam Pradesh Tea Morcha Vice President Shri Khagen Tanti, Advisor of the Mangaldai Branch of the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) Shri Bulon Mali, teacher and eminent social worker Shri Raju Tanti, the garden manager, and other officials.

Under this scheme, with an expenditure of more than ₹300 crore, one-time financial assistance of ₹5,000 each will be provided to over 6 lakh workers and employees of tea gardens across the state.
For this people-centric initiative, I express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our respected Chief Minister and popular leader Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

मेरी सरकार की नीतियों के अनुरूप सुरक्षाबलों ने माओवादी आतंक पर भी निर्णायक कार्रवाई की है।

वर्षों तक देश के 126 जिलों में असुरक्षा, भय और अविश्वास का वातावरण था।

माओवादी विचारधारा ने कई पीढ़ियों का भविष्य अंधकार में डाल दिया था। जिसका सबसे ज्यादा नुकसान हमारे युवाओं, आदिवासी और दलित भाई-बहनों को हुआ।

आज माओवादी आतंक की चुनौती 126 जिलों से घटकर आठ जिलों तक सिमट गई है, इनमें भी 3 जिले ही ऐसे हैं, जो गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित हैं।

इस एक साल में माओवाद से जुड़े लगभग 2 हजार लोगों ने आत्मसमर्पण किया है, इससे लाखों नागरिकों के जीवन में शांति लौटी है।
