Politicians always. They can't build it. They can't explain it. They don't have the confidence to make any firm predictions about it. But they are so very sure they know the right way to regulate it.
No industrial revolution without many boiler explosions. Full steam ahead.
Almost 14 years into teaching, and it is really heartening to receive so many Teacher's Day wishes from students, including those whom I taught 14 years back.
@SamsungIndia@SamsungIndia Thank, the technician visited today. It will require a part to be changed. Please ensure that it is done at the earliest. I have shared the details in DM.
After sale service of @SamsungIndia is pathetic. Recently, I bought two Samsung ACs. One of the ACs started causing issues. It has been 6 days since I requested repair (no. 4435730151). However, despite multiple requests to Samsung, I haven't received a call from their technician
It seems, I may have to wait till next year for the technician's visit. @SamsungIndia, if you cannot ensure the service in the warranty period, please mention it clearly instead of deceiving your customers and wasting their time.
When I called the technician assigned for my issue, he told me that Samsung assigns us randomly, but we don't go as per this. Apparently, they only come when they are interested and they are not interested in repairing an AC within the warranty period.
Enjoying the talk of Prof Lekha Chakraborty @lekhachakrborty on "The Economics of Government"- students and faculty of the Economics Programme of the School of Liberal Studies at the Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi. @weareAUD@nipfp_org_in@RStweet18
That is why economists prefer to work with revealed preferences. Revealed preferences tell us how a person values things whereas stated preferences tell us what he wants you to believe about his valuation of things.
Always look at what they do; not what they say
After making a case that a human being is an inefficient use of energy, a reminder that Altman chose to have a kid recently. Given that he is gay, this was not easy or natural but...
Every single tech founder, every single one of them, from Steve jobs to Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos to Bill Gates to Elon Musk keeps/kept their own children away from screens very deliberately and very strictly. Since they are the ones building them they know exactly what they are doing to brains and habits.
And for those who lecture you and your children on why India is the place of the future, check where their own children are
