@hrh_elliot It’s about buying more at home to boost production and wealth. Reducing buying American (like the targeted tariffs) is bringing consciousness to the American people about what’s going on. We need non-Maga Americans advocating for us. They are, and always will be, our friends.

@ianbremmer @bruceanderson But they won’t fight for us. Even post Trump we will be paying some form of tariff and more than we were pre Trump. That doesn’t make them bad people as most Americans are great people. But they’re having an existential crisis in their country. We are not top of mind.

@trainofangels00 If this goes 2 years and gets worse it’s going to be quite difficult. Canadians will have to make difficult decisions on how we spend our tax dollars. We need to plan for an improved relationship post Trump but things will never go back to pre Trump 2.0.

@DeanAllisonMP Trudeau and Carney are worlds apart. But I am not a fan of the Trudeau Ministers who are still hanging about. They were part of the problem too. Thankfully Carney is a one person show. Find an electable leader for when Carney is gone.

@alanfryermedia I miss the PC Party. Their disappearance allowed the Liberals to drift as far left as they have. It was always a tussle left and right of centre. We haven’t seen that for a long time. But Carney is coming closer than anyone in a long time. But still way to go.
