@Uttupaaji Disagree, Nokia working on symbian rather than Android, due to more flexibility & user friendly Android became popular and symbian lacks to gain the Market.
I believe that didn't make them less innovative. Market didn't adopt their innovation may be cause of downfall..

No revenue Model- you can not survive without generating revenue At a point funding will stopped- your cash burn will stop- ultimatly you will fail ex- papertap, tapzo
No USP- Make in India will never be a USP in india people want cheaper easy to access and user friendly things.

1- Innovation done but not focused in Marketing( tried to target 18-25 ignored others)
2- Bulky app size- 72MB while whatsapp 29 MB( data was not cheaper at that time)
3- Not user friendly- Too much integration in one app(Game,payment,call,msg etc)

Major product are semiconductor devices. And we don't have that envoirment, capacity as well Raw material to produce in large scale.Even today Phones/laptop component are imported by every brand and assembled in India.

It will take time to reduce the gap..
