As is clear, BJP has made it a habit to use the President’s Address an occasion to hide their failures behind the Office of President. It’s clear from the parliamentary proceedings till now and the President’s Address that Modi Government has failed to read the 2024 verdict properly.

People have voted to end the assault on the Constitution, parliamentary democracy, unilateral flow of power and arrogance. The BJP and PM Modi have not understood this.

While reiterating the ‘Mother of Democracy’ chant and paying lip service to ‘consensus’, Modi Government is not ready to commit the position of Deputy Speaker to opposition, as per long standing conventions.

No mention was made of unemployment and price-rise which continue to make lives miserable.

Despite vehement opposition from states, legal fraternity and political parties, the BJP wants to impose the anti-federal and irrational criminal laws.

The first 15 days of Modi 3.0 have seen major mismanagements like frequent paper leaks, jeopardising the future of lakhs but the Government still wants to continue with a centralised and homogenising education system, which has evidently failed.

Value of Rupee is at historical low, country has faced terrorist attacks and train accident. But there is no one taking accountability, characteristic of authoritarian regimes.

A self-critical analysis is needed if the Modi regime intends to contribute positively for the people of India. People are fed up with empty slogans and are vocal for their rights. BJP must understand this.
