Last night at 11:30pm, 3 drunk guys crashed outside my home. One had no pulse or breath, so I started CPR (not perfect) After 25-27 compressions, his pulse returned. My father called 112,other two were stable. Handed them over to the ambulance.

The Suicide of Dr Navdeep Singh should make everyone question about what is so horrifically wrong with the medical system of the country that this profession has become number 1 in terms of suicides !

He was a doctor who secured “AIR 1 IN NEET UG 2017”
He was currently doing MD Radiology from India’s top MAMC

He cracked all the exams and phases that requires excessive Mental strength and physical well-being at both academic and personal level

Despite knowing that healthcare professionals are often in the state of mental health apocalypse why
•There is no monthly check of Mental health !
• No strict Grievances portals and immediate action on it !
• No health-line number for doctors health !

India which is already lacking specialist doctors should understand it’s a national loss because of incompetency of the organisations and govt to implement strong mental health guidelines

It’s a collective failure of all !

I got into MBBS in 2004.
In the last 20 years, I have seen many doctors protests.
I have never seen a protest like the one that is ongoing in West Bengal.
Usually doctors associations are unable to handle the pressure of authorities and give up after getting fake assurances.
WB residents have done what perhaps no one could do in decades.
