As part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, Consul General of @IndiaInHamburg unfurled the national flag, read from the address of Hon'ble President @rashtrapatibhvn to the nation and interacted with members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India. Cultural performances from young members of the @diaspora_india were well received, while Consul General also facilitated winners of the Independence Day themed painting competition for kids.

#WATCH | The Hague, Netherlands | On PM Modi's visit to the country, Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands Kumar Tuhin says, "The visit of Prime Minister Modi to the Netherlands is significant for many reasons. First of all, this visit is happening after a gap of nine years, and this is his second visit... The relations between the two countries have gone on a remarkable, positive and upward trajectory. Also, our relations with the EU are seeing significant momentum, especially in the wake of the India-EU FTA. Secondly, this visit is also happening very early in the tenure of the new government of the Netherlands. Therefore, it will provide an opportunity for the two leaders to sit together, establish rapport, review the progress made and then give directions to both sides for taking our relations forward to a new level. This is an opportunity to reaffirm the political commitment to the bilateral relationship with the Netherlands at the highest level and also to chart out the new priority areas for cooperation between the two countries."
