Anyways, if y'all serious about literary arts and writing more books about our heritage... fund it. Put out a call. I know people doing their postgrad work that would benefit from it and their work solves this issue and have projects aligned with the hon Min of Heritage's concern
Dear PM @miaamormottley, I haven't @ you in a while but I felt the need to because your Minister of Heritage said something really funny about needing writers represented and their role in culture and heritage but Your govt doesn't even have Lit Arts as a major part of Crop Over
Too many people in positions of power are so concerned with being respected that they forget their job isn't to be in power but to help others and fulfil the mission of promoting and preserving culture and heritage. Y'all got jokes while people catching flights and we all suffer
This is no shade to Meghan and I'll eventually go watch the full thing in context but if you only choosing people with "popularity" to represent culture in Barbados while side-lining those who are deeply involved, then you can't move the conversations forward...
Now I'm on vacation, I've promised myself I'll try to watch some movies because I haven't really watched any movies. So I'm gonna dedicate the next week to binging Disney movies. What would you recommend? (I've never seen classic like Hercules, will try Tron Ares, no Star Wars)
What are we really doing? Again, no shade to her or to any other ambassadors but I genuinely don't think the NCF even knows what they're doing with this program... or the festival on a whole... nor do we... as evident by the conversations about music and the lack of quality

Normally I refrain from commenting because whenever anyone speaks on this, you get blacklisted or called a hater but after 21+ years of being directly involved with these things and seeing EVERYONE complaining about "not feeling the festival" this year, the NCF needs to reflect
