Over the last few weeks I've been playing around with building a simple caffeine tracker app for Android app with Scala.js and Tyrian. 🙂
I wrote a blog post detailing the experience:

Finally got round to watching this talk, and its excellent. It's awesome seeing #Scala used for non-typical purposes in general, and games in particular.
More of that, please!
After a solid month or two of engine improvements, my little #Scala ASCII paint app looks like it did before! 💪
However, all the UI stuff now runs in a subsystem and all the layers are nested under one key, making the app logic far, far simpler. New Indigo release coming soon...
New Tyrian release: 0.11.0
This is a small release that changes Tyrian's runtime behaviour to be more efficient on idle/static pages.
HTML/CSS APIs used for tag rendering in JS and JVM (for SSR), are now published in a new module called `tyrian-tags`.

Top 5 things I'd improve/change in Indigo, if I had the time.
Very occasionally, I get some focused development time on @indigoengine, and get to work on things that are very hard to do incrementally.
So in no particular order, what's on my hit list? 🧵
#scala#gamedev
#Scala.js 1.16.0 is here! It contains several improvements to the generated code size, particularly when emitting ES modules. It also consumes a bit less memory. https://t.co/vKIqLlAwKv
📢 New Blog Post!
"Deriving the Elm Architecture"
The Elm Architecture underpins all of our libraries, and in this post, we'll dive into how it emerges from the desire to build GUIs from pure functions and immutable data.

Do you have a fun Scala pet projects or is your company building a successful product in Scala? Please reach out to me (pm open), I would love to have you on the channel.
If you want to help Dave in his endeavour, consider developping your own game with Indigo. Documentation and link to their discord server is available here https://t.co/pwufMIna9Q
I had the pleasure to talk with @davidjamessmith about developing video games development in #Scala.js using the Indigo game engine and Tyrian framework.
Having said all that, I'd like to re-iterate that this @rockthejvm tutorial is excellent! It gives a wonderful introduction to how the Elm architecture works, and how to build web apps with Tyrian as part of a Full Stack #Scala app.
🤘Check it out!🤘
