@seotennietang that's why I'm asking you to elaborate I'm trying to see where I'm wrong in this that was such a childish response honestly you expect people to do better by bullying them into understanding you? god
@seotennietang some of the Egyptian heritage is seen is generic because of how historically significant it is and how everybody always interacted with it yes it came with pros and cons and yes it lead to appropriation but we can't just make anyone using a culturally item as the bad guy
@seotennietang something else I'm trying to see your point and you're calling me stupid is fucking pathetic man are your tryings to save your culture is only by terrorizing people who don't see your point and not by actually explaining it?lol
@seotennietang but the people sharing this ideas about us aren't waiting for stuff like that or i mean yes to a point but still they just share it anyway even without anyone using our culture in any way
@seotennietang that's just how fashion works it's experimental and doesn't have rules and that's not what i think appropriation is, would you care to elaborate on why do you think it's appropriation and not just a way of trying to use an item? I'm interested
@seotennietang dude i literally said in this situation not in general you're talking about a total different circumstances and actions and calling me blind
@seotennietang it's a scarf and she used it as a scarf she wasn't interacting with culture for it to be used in a respectful place
it's an object that get sold and people are gonna find a different ways to use it
I'm so tired of the whole American-white adjacent view on culture like wtf are you talking about i don't like the girl in the video but generally this new sensitivity around our culture and different cultures in general is pathetic and stupid and makes no sense
@seotennietang i never said it wasn't ,my point was not every interaction is appropriation specially that it's not even the case here she wore a scarf as a scarf didn't take credit for it, it's normal to see items used as items that's exactly what I'm talking about
cuando una cantante es lesbiana: esta queerbaiteando
cuando una cantante es bisexual: esta queerbaiteando
cuando una cantante es heterosexual: abro hilo de porque en realidad es lesbiana enclosetada y esta de novia con su amiga
and a great aspect of culture is when shared and appreciated or even just used ,it shows how impactful it is even years after
as long as it's not claimed it wasn't Egyptian then why is it a problem
gatekeeping culture is weird and stupid and such an American thing to do or think
how come interacting with different cultures has become offensive my god
the only people offended by someone wearing a dress or an accessory are white/white adjacent people who have no idea how culture works because they never had one, what's your excuse?
