Our international advisor, Pat Walsh, passed away on 29 Dec 2025. A lifelong advocate for justice and freedom in Timor-Leste, his legacy will continue to inspire us. We stand with his family in grief and solidarity. A luta continua!
Amarah.
Kita.

FORUM-ASIA joins rights groups in renewing the call for the immediate and unconditional release of Khurram Parvez on his 48th birthday today.
A globally respected #humanrights defender, Khurram has spent over three and a half years in arbitrary detention under India’s draconian UAPA. His case—declared unlawful by the UN—reflects the broader criminalisation of human rights work in Indian-administered Kashmir.
On this day, instead of celebrating, Khurram remains behind bars for his unwavering commitment to justice and truth. We call on the Indian government to release Khurram, Irfan Mehraj, and all defenders jailed for their human rights work, and to stop misusing counter-terror laws to silence dissent.

Myanmar today is the scene of utter devastation and desperation.
The death toll is now 3,000 and climbing – with thousands injured, and many trapped under the rubble - @antonioguterres
INDONESiA: History is proof that military (TNI) involvement in civilian spaces will only increase the chances of human rights violations and violence. Check the survivors story! #TOLAKRUUTNI
Call for International Attention!
This evening, @KontraS along with the Civil Society Coalition, expressed our strong objection to the continued discussion of the problematic and non-transparent revision of the TNI Law.
The TNI Bill contains problematic provisions that threaten democracy and human rights. Its revision risks undermining military professionalism and reviving the TNI’s Dual Function, allowing active military personnel to hold civilian positions—potentially leading to civilian exclusion, increased military dominance, and dual loyalty.
