Literally everyone knew university teaching would end up being online. The only reason they told students to come in was to guarantee income from student accommodation rentals. Landlordism is literally holding 18 year olds hostage in prison sized rooms to secure rental income.
The scenes today are really depressing. So many people being openly racist, visible nazi-salutes and acting violently towards police.
BLM protests were for equality. What do these people stand for?
Today’s situation in London is somewhat confusing.
You’ve got the police protecting a statue from ‘football lads’ who want to protect a statue, from people who don’t seem to be there.
The statue is of a man who stopped the nazis, these men are now doing the nazi salute.
Look people I’m not gonna argue about Churchill being a Great War leader. He clearly was. But they also need to teach us at school about this shit:

you're going to see a lot of people complaining about the Black Lives Matter protests today, so just a quick reminder that these protests are for -fundamental human rights- as opposed to all these people, who just fancied a day at the beach (Durdle Door, Bournemouth, Southend)
I've not seen much info about how people in the UK can support the BLM movement here, so i've made a document which has links to how you can support black lives in the UK: https://t.co/ljJ5yhTQfn
George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill. For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.
