The pro-hunt organisations are claiming huge turnouts and support for the Boxing Day hunt parades today.
But what do the public really think about the hunts?

THE HUNGER IS FORTY TODAY
“Please hide from the kiss and the bite...”
Today is the 40th anniversary of the US release of the 1983 Tony Scott directed The Hunger.
Bowie is pictured here as John Blaylock, a 200-year-old vampire retaining his youthful good looks with the help of blood sucked from young people, such as the unsuspecting victim here.
John is the latest in a string of specially chosen humans stretching back over millennia, who have been promised eternal life as vampire lovers of Miriam Blaylock (Catherine Deneuve).
Eternal life isn’t quite as described by Miriam as it doesn’t mean eternal youth. When John starts rapidly ageing, he seeks the help of Dr Sarah Roberts (Susan Sarandon) and things start getting complicated.
Anything more would be considered a spoiler, so if you haven’t seen The Hunger, check it out at the earliest opportunity. Possibly the sexiest and most stylish vampire movie of all time.
Meanwhile, to mark the anniversary, https://t.co/3kz7K1SfcA has posted an X-Rated Version of the opening scene recut to an edit of Bauhaus Bela Lugosi’s Dead, from the 1982 live album, Press the Eject and Give Me the Tape.
As Nacho points out, David Bowie said of this scene: “the first twenty minutes rattle along like hell - it really is a great opening.”.
We’re dutybound to point out that though it was an X-Rated (18) film originally, it seems it’s now a 16+, so please bear that in mind before viewing: https://t.co/S84loqIBa9

@AwesomeUKFacts@Okami13_ I have no doubt it will be on gamepass eventually but not on release, which is what I thought you were implying. If and when the deal goes through, I can't see it appearing on gp for at least a year after release as the article I linked states.
It’s really hard to believe, but today, April 19th, 2023, marks the 50th anniversary of Aladdin Sane's release in the UK! I'm excited to celebrate this iconic album with all of you. Let's reminisce - share your memories of the first time you heard the album…
15 April 1989. A date football and our city will never forget.
Today, and always, our thoughts remain with @LFC and everyone affected by the tragedy that unfolded at Hillsborough.
RIP the 97. 💙❤️
It never ceases to surprise us just how many people are unaware that fox hunting still goes on across the UK.
But we're doing everything we can to make this issue known about.
