@By_NathanBrown The last time the series ran for the first time on a temporary street circuit, the race was one of the worst in the previous 10 years. It was unwatchable. This is big stakes with a giant headwind. Hard to be optimistic.
@By_NathanBrown There is no upside to doing an event associated with Trump. It’s his event, not IndyCar’s. Trump ruins everything he touches. Hopefully, when this is over, Mr. Penske won’t feel like strangling himself with that Medal of Freedom he got from Trump.
@champwebdotnet This gives me the creeps. The series already said a D.C. race was not feasible without a year-plus of planning. Everyone is putting a happy spin on this, but where are the details?
@marshallpruett@RACERHQ Lots of misgivings here. The event will be politicized, and as is the case with everything associated with Trump, a lot of innocent people will be caught in the blast radius.
@TheDestinAdams Yeah, immortalize a football coach at the same time the school guts academic programs and clamps down on freedom of expression. Glad priorities are straight.
@K8Fryman It should be open whenever there is no threat of precipitation, regardless of temperature. We paid tens of millions extra for that perk, after all.
@BloggingTheBoys I live in a Midwestern city whose mediocre team is being led by a quarterback who was cut mid-season last year and was basically paid not to play because he was so bad. That team is 3 games better than the Cowboys after 6 weeks. WTF.
This is Beau Bayh, a U.S. Marine veteran and son of beloved former Indiana Governor Evan Bayh. He's running for Secretary of State in 2026 to win the seat his Dad first did 40 years ago.
