@EnglishUDI @AnnieGlen11 If we can’t trade with England you’ll be the big loser, not us was the point. Plenty of alternate markets for our whisky & Gin.
@EnglishUDI @AnnieGlen11 But it is a greater gain per head in Scotland than Gas Turbines are in England. So your attempt to belittle it falls flat. Stop wriggling and take your lumps.
Scottish GDP per head is higher than England’s too. We produce lots of things the world wants & will pay $€¥ for.
@EnglishUDI @AnnieGlen11 And to whisky must now be added Gin which has transformed whisky economics. Vis all the new distilleries popping up. Around another £1B I understand.
@EnglishUDI @AnnieGlen11 Nae bother. Nae electrikery, nae gas nor oil, nae whisky or gin or many other spirits made under license in a big distillery above Kirkcaldy. Oh the whisky can get other farmers to grow the barley we have been buying from you of late.
Maybe 5 new members in total as the young guy came back for a badge for his Dad. Lots of talking got done, including about Salvo & Liberation.
All in all a worthwhile outing. Competing against an armed forces display and a rally for Palestine we did okay.
