@BaneOfCovid i was in and out of CBT for several years (mainly in groups settings) and as someone who was in treatment primarily for PTSD i found it not useful at all. now in adulthood i’ve gotten use out of DBT but even that is limited (i’m not a fan of radical acceptance personally)

@ttunlehs @PaigeChristineR in several states trans people’s access to public spaces have been jeopardized. in my state it’s illegal for trans people to use the bathroom in public facilities not associated with their “birth sex” which can result in misdemeanor charges. that’s impractical to enforce

@ttunlehs @PaigeChristineR this isn’t true. 1 in 5 trans people in the US have been denied housing and 1 in 10 have been evicted due to their gender identity. in my state (florida) we have bills targeting trans healthcare with restrictive policies aimed at making trans peoples care harder to access

@ttunlehs @PaigeChristineR for trans people to have access to healthcare indiscriminately, be protected in the workplace, have protection when seeking housing, have access to public spaces, etc. all these things are currently under fire in dozens of US states, including my own
