Internet Historical Fact: Today marks 20 years since a German teenager named Norman Kochanowski would publish a video of himself having a staged meltdown over Unreal Tournament that was so convincing to some that it nearly ruined his life!
During the holiday Fat Thursday, supermarket Lidl sold donuts for 99% off in Poland.
YouTuber Marek Hoffmann did the math and found that, on Fat Thursday, it's cheaper to burn donuts than wood to keep your house warm.
A Polish YouTuber just heated his house by burning 133 Lidl donuts in his stove.
14°C→22°C. Burned for 5+ hours.
Donuts have almost the same energy value as wood pellets - but at €0.0024 per donut, they're insanely cheaper.
