GitLab has patched CVE-2026-90970, a CRITICAL vulnerability affecting its self-hosted AI Gateway.

CVSS SCORE: 9.9 / 10.

Under certain conditions, a low-privileged authenticated Duo Agent Platform user could submit a specially crafted flow configuration capable of escaping the prompt-template sandbox.

The potential consequence?

🚨 ARBITRARY COMMAND EXECUTION ON THE UNDERLYING AI GATEWAY SERVER.

GitLab has urged affected self-hosted deployments to update immediately.
