#RIP to the great #MilanKundera.
"Living, there is no happiness in that. Living: carrying one's painful self through the world. But being, being is happiness. Being: becoming a fountain, a fountain on which the universe falls like warm rain."
-Milan Kundera, from #Immortality
“She loved to walk down the street with a book under her arm. It had the same significance for her as an elegant cane for the dandy a century ago. It differentiated her from others.” #MilanKundera#TheUnbearableLightnessofBeing
“It was one of those dangerous moments when speech is at once sincere and deceptive - when feeling, rising high above its average depth, leaves flood-marks which are never reached again.”;
George Eliot, The Mill on the Floss
@HashashinTag In Saudi Arabic we mostly use “my mother” (mama, ommi, yumma) when referring to mothers. Also we try to avoid the pronoun “you” while addressing them out of respect.
