I will not stand before you and declare the work finished, because it is not. The housing deficit this nation carries is counted in the millions, and it will take years of steady labour to close, and I would rather say that to you plainly than flatter you with a lie.
But the difference now is real. For the first time in a generation, the whole housing value-chain is moving together: the land and its title, the building, the materials, the equipment, the finance, and the family at the end of it, and no part waits idle on another.
Housing has moved from a welfare conversation to a national growth strategy. Real estate and construction now sit among Nigeriaโs major GDP contributors, proving that every affordable home financed is also a factory order, a labour contract, a mortgage asset, a household balance sheet and a contribution to national output.
That is what I promised for our housing sector, and that is what is now being delivered. Renewed Hope was never charity. It is the right of every Nigerian to a place called home.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
When I placed the Renewed Hope Agenda before Nigerians, I did not speak of housing in vague terms. I gave my word that this administration would work to make decent homes affordable again, and that a hardworking family, after years of paying rent, would finally have a path to a house of its own.
Let me account for that promise plainly, by juxtaposing what we pledged beside what we have actually achieved.

One of the most dangerous things happening on social media today is the deliberate spread of fake security alerts, recycled videos of bandits that were neutralized years ago, and fabricated kidnap stories designed to trigger panic and outrage.
Every day, people circulate old videos as if they happened yesterday. Others manufacture stories of kidnappings and attacks that never occurred. When security agencies, or people expose the falsehood, the same people quietly delete their posts and move on, with no consequences for the fear, confusion, and anxiety they have already created.
The unfortunate consequence is that citizens are gradually becoming desensitized. When genuine security threats emerge, many people now struggle to distinguish between real alerts and fabricated stories.
Government must begin to take the deliberate spread of false security information more seriously. Individuals who knowingly circulate fake security reports capable of causing panic should face appropriate sanctions under existing laws. Freedom of expression should not be confused with the freedom to spread falsehoods that endanger public order.
A society where everyone is constantly crying wolf will eventually ignore the real wolf when it appears. We cannot afford that. Security is too important to be sacrificed on the altar of clout, politics, engagement farming, or social media relevance.

Overnight, Nigeria and the United States recorded a significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism.
Our determined Nigerian Armed Forces, working closely with the Armed Forces of the United States, conducted a daring joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to the ranks of the Islamic State.
Early assessments confirm the elimination of the wanted IS senior leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lieutenants, during a strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin
Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort.
I commend the personnel involved on both sides for their professionalism and courage, and I look forward to more decisive strikes against all terrorist enclaves across the nation.
