The inaugural Alumni Impact Award ceremony was held on January 21, 2023, to recognize members who have made significant contributions to the development of their communities.
July 16 was launched by the Sierra Leone-United States Alumni Association (SLUSAA) as "Alumni Giveback Day," a day for members and non-members alike to give back to their communities through volunteerism and community service.
Like the Meet & Greet Program in 2019, last yearβs event gave alumni members from all walks of life the opportunity to interact, network, and dine together. It was a fun-filled day thanks to the few indoor games we played and discussions peppered with jokes and a lot of humor
In 2022, the Sierra Leone United States Alumni Association engaged over 3000 students and their lecturers from various campuses on its usual University Leadership Talk Series Program across the country.
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Sierra Leone β United States Alumni Association donated food and other essential supplies to the inmates of the St. George's Home for the Aged at Grafton.
