Alongsite our normal hibernation checks we have rigged up CCTV in the barn with some static detectors so we can get a better idea of what is going on in there.

Checks for hibernating bats in a barn today, and had a really positive meeting with the client and the architect looking at how we can retain the bat roosts whilst meeting the objectives of the project. Found one little hibernating BLE for good measure.

EXTINCT BAT MAKING A COMEBACK? In 1992 greater mouse-eared bats were declared extinct from the UK. A single male has been recorded present since 2002 @sussexbatgroup were astonished to find a SECOND greater mouse-eared bat hibernating the important network of tunnels in Jan 2023
