What a glorious Fall we have had on the Island. Beautiful weather and outstanding colour. Time for a little refreshing rain now to hydrate the trees ready for winter. Beautiful time of year as things quieten after the clamour and rush of a busy summer season.

Weather's cooled and a sense of peace is falling on the island after the crazy, busy, hectic summer. Love this time of year, trees showing their early Fall fashion with a promise of the riches to come. Evenings needing a cosy sweater and parking spaces available in town!

Smoky pall over the Island but thanks to our @SaltspringFire guys the on-Island fires have been quickly controlled. Smoke coming from Vancouver Island, BC interior and Washington state. We're all doing the happy rain dance and praying for a good downpour.
