So it took an Order from Justice Gibson, but the Kitchener Courthouse has now made 2 rooms available with laptops and phones so that unrepresented litigants can attend their virtual hearings. This should be rolled out to all courthouses. Better late than never @SCJOntario_en

[Canadian Heritage @CdnHeritage]

September 30 marks #OrangeShirtDay and the first National Day for #TruthAndReconciliation. We wear orange to remember the Indigenous children who were sent to Residential Schools and never returned, and to honour the Survivors, their families, and their communities. #NDTR

Dear Clients: Don't forget to account for the holiday when calculating motion deadlines. Brampton court for example will not accept late material, even with consent of all parties!

[McRoberts Legal @infomcroberts]

dear clients: be sure to include all relevant position letters/emails when submitting WAGG motions. Sometimes the clerk on efile doesn't notice the error and sends it on to a Master who then bounces it back causing weeks of delay!

Dear Clients: In Toronto court, default judgments submitted by efile are signed and placed in a cabinet on the 8th floor. Don't wait for an email from the court! Your judgment could be sitting in the dreaded "pickup cabinet".
