@tradermike1234 Everyone talks about this. My whole fucking feed is useless shit like this. What no one talks about is the phenomenon called “the illusion of knowledge” that so many people targeted by SMC gurus suffer from. How about getting actually informed?
@devender_fx You SMC people keep treating trading like sigil magic and then get surprised that the lines you drew on your charts didn’t equate profit. If you still think mystical boxes are enough to have any idea what price is doing, be my guest. Otherwise, maybe it’s time to get informed.
@CossamKapi11915 Oh to be as gullible as a child to believe drawing lines on a chart will give you an edge. If you believe this is enough to outsmart institutions, your money is safer at a casino.
Every trade has two sides. Someone is buying, someone is selling, and one of them is certainly better informed than the other. How that asymmetry shapes price is what matters. There’s decades of literature. Almost none of it in retail trading education.
Market microstructure is the study of how prices actually form. Not where they go, but how they get there. Who is on each side of a trade, why they’re there, what they know, and what that information does to the price. It is the least taught and most relevant aspect to trading.
(1/5) Smart Money Concepts is what happens when you take forty years of peer-reviewed market microstructure research, remove the citations, and replace the mechanisms with a mythology.
The difference between ICT concepts and order flow analysis is roughly the difference between astrology and astronomy: similar vocabulary about celestial bodies. Meaningfully different relationship with evidence.
@payeltrades@JoeePoncee “Great salesman” and “not a scam” can both be true at once. The difference between “his” concepts and order flow is the latter has peer-reviewed data to back it. And ICT’s concepts are just oversimplified market mechanics. Without the tools to read them properly.
@Trader_LucasHan@deartrader__ You’re pretty much advertising a studied phenomenon in trading called “unrealistic perception of control”. A pattern on a chart tells you nothing if that’s the only information you’re going off of.
@IcedBeanFleecy@FortuneMMXM Yeah, because that’s definitely enough data to be able to predict price. (It’s not.) This is astrology if it lost you money.
@Rosh2023Sharma@elite_mentor1 TView offers a free 30-day trial. More than enough time to be able to afford a $70 a month subscription. But it is useless, unless you know exactly why you need it.
@BrianFanta@TylerG_Capital Maybe it’s time to stop drawing lines and boxes on charts and praying it works out. SMC is glorified lack of information that’s easy to sell, not a framework that’s grounded in actual research.
@Rosh2023Sharma@elite_mentor1 This is astrology for boys. But I’m sure it’s fun to rely on concepts that can neither be proved nor disproved. Fun, not consistent.
