Why would I buy this if it is going to stop working the moment you revoke my license to use the device or games I own, in case of closure/ban/because of stakeholders' interests...
@s1nicki They saw that even with the layoffs at Xbox people are still talking about them. To the point that saying anything until wolverine launch will affect the launch itself no matter what. The later they say something, the worse the impact will be.
I studied game design with the hope of one day jumping industries from tech to game dev. Now? We might die by the effects of global warming before reaching 35. Hopeless, nothing but the last years of our era.
Gaming is closer to a death by a thousand cuts. AI in development, layoffs, increase in prices, no physical games... At this point, we might see the worst years in gaming or worse.
@SynthPotato@InsiderGamingIG But think of the shareholders, the CEO's bonus... with only an incredible game that will sell once by user without microtransactions and recurrent spending, they won't be able to continue growing infinitely.

@SynthPotato It will be either 69.99€ or 79.99€ in EU. I have more doubts about whether we will see more than 3 different options (normal/day one, deluxe/premium/ultimate, a collector on day one with the game or without it...)
I am happy that I bought the PS5 at launch and the Xbox S on a black friday deal, but the problem now is whether the next generation will also increase in price over time. Is going to be both >1k at launch, and it's not crazy; we might see the prices increase by 10-20%...
@GTABase All are amazing ideas, but the possibilities in gameplay that prone or changes in loadout could bring are more interesting than QoL changes like the radio or the commas. Like, in a perfect world, all four, but anything that adds to the gameplay is more important imo
Material conditions are worsening, prices are rising due to inflated expectations, more expensive products, and longer development times. At some point, when people cannot buy bread and pay for the circus, we might see some changes, but I am not going to bet on people nowadays.
The price of the Steam Machine, being more than 1k, is a sign of the direction computing and gaming as a hobby is heading. We are at the point where we might see this hobby become a niche, everything-cloud, or go fully mobile/handheld at best.
