@rickyho_1989 My experience of Indonesian corporate IR teams is that they are decades behind Asian peers in basics such as simply responding to institutional shareholder requests for calls or information. For me its 3 strikes & then blacklisted.
@rickyho_1989 There is nothing flagged by MSCI regarding lack of information flow that international investors are not well aware of already. The issue is less about more funds flowing out but rather not flowing back until real improvement is demonstrated.
FYI I'm not happy with the new Li-Nings that I bought and have switched back to my Nike Pegasus for daily use. They are extremely comfortable. Yet they make a squeaking noise on certain surfaces. Will probably only wear them in the future for when I'm actually running (rare).
@BigWorm11174792@simongerman600 Old enough to remember Joao Havelange who ran a corrupt regime, only to be topped by his successor Sepp. They only get worse
BREAKING: Police are at the scene of a serious stabbing incident in north Belfast.
The incident happened around an hour ago on Kinnaird Avenue.
One man has been rushed to hospital after another male stabbed him several times in the head.
A large cordon is in place @BelTel
@finphysnerd Ok, certainly not as healthy. I guess 2Q26 will be interesting - does 1Q recovery trend continue or does it dip back negative like 4Q25 did after 3Q25.
@rickyho_1989 I'm in two minds. Everything I hear of DAM is encouraging. Everything I hear of DIM sounds troubling. It could well turn out to be 1MDB dressed in a slightly different patterned batik but valuations are getting to the point where you might be tempted to take that risk.
@finphysnerd Qtrly gross margin per Refinitiv π. True it had plateau'd but 1Q26 kicked up. I'm not long Chagee, just saying it doesn't look a screaming short at a glance.
@doktermarket MSCI is a business. Downgrading Indonesia would be bad for business - not to say they cant do it, but I think they would prefer not to and there is enough reform underway for them to keep it EM for now (famous last words).
This is the second DeepSeek moment. It's like EVs - you get plenty of revenue growth with enough subsidies but no profits. The trick is switching to unsubsidised pricing without killing demand. Would hate to own AI-related names on all time high valuations right now.
All the cool companies have gone from "30% of our code is AI generated" two years ago (great), to "we need to lower AI costs" today (reasonable), but without a "we are making more money with AI" in between.
@TigerThesis Huang is becoming an Elon tribute act at this stage - it's just a full time job of jawboning up the stock price. Unlike Musk he does at least have an elite, profitable company to sell but it doesn't change the fact he is a bullshit artist.
