I’m sorry, but whoever is “uncomfortable” with this and telling you not to draw or style eyes like the second example really can’t gatekeep something that was already such a widely used anime/manga art style back in the 2000s.
It probably wasn’t even theirs originally to gatekeep in the first place.
Keep striving to find what feels comfortable and natural for you. I thought we’d moved past this kind of gatekeeping, but apparently not.
Multiple people can draw in similar styles and still be unique. Telling someone to stop while they’re still discovering and developing their own style is just unfair.. C’mon now 😭..

Collaborating with @MoshieStudio , I built this pseudo-3D hand entirely in Live2D
It supports full 360° X-axis rotation, finger grasping, and a fake outline effect.
So in a way… this is a pseudo-2D inside pseudo-3D inside 2D
