The NHA was pleased to be selected to provide subject matter expertise on major disasters, hospital surge, and healthcare emergency planning to two federal partners this past year. Christopher Lake, NHA's Executive Director of Community Resilience, recently presented at an invitation-only session at the US Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC, engaging directly with representatives from the Department of War on issues at the intersection of civilian healthcare and national emergency response.
Honored to share that the Burn Watch Board, created by the NHA, was featured in the LA Times for its vital role during the recent LA wildfires. This dashboard tracks real-time burn-bed availability across hospitals, providing essential data during crises like the LA fires.
