There has been quite a bit of 0DTE option volume on the spike down and the spike back up. Now we are spiking down again, and up again. Today will be a battle, but on the spike down we did dramatically overvix again. The fact there were a lot of puts bought on that spike down means we overvixed from hedging.

Dealer spreads did spike a bit to 27, meaning liquidity is an issue. So the overvixing was about a 50/50 split between put buying and liquidity issue. I think the 5650 by opex thesis is still intact, and today we will find an area to settle into, and there will be either a rip or a drip in the last 5-10 minutes. As of now settling in this area, probably a rip. There is even a slight chance of closing green today, but like I said 5500 is a decent sized resistance, so that will be a tough mountain to climb.
