STATE OF EMERGENCY issued for Hatteras Island, North Carolina, and every visitor was ordered out tonight ahead of a developing nor'easter. Highway 12, the only road on or off the island, is expected to flood over at high tide after high tide from Saturday afternoon into next week. That road just reopened two weeks ago from the last storm.
Omg. I just had quite an experience at the CVS pharmacy. An older lady, probably around my mom's age (74) she there to recieve her seasonal shots. As I was standing in the checkout line I heard the pharmacist say this one is your pneumococcal shot, this one is your influenza shot, and this one is your covid shot. After the pharmacist injected the 3rd shot she began having tremors (not seizures) and fell out of her seat, smacked her head on the floor. I get out of line and down on the floor while they were calling EMS. HOLY SHIT. She wasn't breathing, but had a strong pulse around 86. I've always made it a habit to carry a pocket face mask with me, I asked a guy in line to get on the floor and directed him how to hold c spine correctly. I gave rescue breaths until the Paramedics arrived (I know the whole crew) as they are putting the bvm together, I'm still giving rescue breaths. They have her hooked up to the cardiac monitor. Heart rate and 12 lead are unremarkable, , they opted to intubate her before transfering her to the gurney, while another medic started an IV. They left CVS 10-18 (emergency traffic) I just recieved a call that this 6 echo call (not breathing) turned into a 9 echo (full cardiac arrest) I'm praying they get her back🙏🏻

@Zeppo81190327@CollinRugg several local live news reports mentioned victim had taken his phone (against rules) & dropped it while trying to get a pic & was trying to reach for it when it occurred. No official statement on that, just witness reports via news broadcast.
Hazardous Weather Evening Update 10/10/26
Steady rain today has soaked the ground, and more heavy rain tonight could cause flash flooding in the mountains. Storms may form over the same areas, bringing 1–3 inches of rain, and even 6–8 inches on slopes that face southeast. This also raises the risk of landslides, especially near the Blue Ridge Escarpment.
Strong winds up to 60 mph are possible in higher elevations tonight and tomorrow.
In eastern NC, some places may get up to 6 inches of rain. Severe storms and even tornadoes could form overnight in eastern NC, southern central NC, and the southern foothills.
Safety Tips:
⚠️ Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings (phone alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, local emergency alerts).
🚧 Never drive through flooded roads — turn around, don’t drown.
🌪️ If a tornado warning is issued, know where your safe shelter location is and get there immediately.
🔋 Charge your devices now in case of power outages.
Multiple hazards are expected overnight—stay alert, stay prepared, and stay safe.

@BowTiedBroke Basically, she needs to get her hormones checked and find a doctor who specialises in them that she trusts. What works for one woman doesn’t work for another. But you being patient and supportive gives her an upper hand already! Well done sir. Well done!
They should have made this into a film 🤣🤣. I don't usually laugh at kids crying however 🤭. Absolutely hilarious.... i can't believe how relaxed she was.... not like the two lads 😬🤣🤣
Someone shared this incredible story online: their security camera caught their dog awake at 2:47 AM while both owners were asleep. No one had trained him to do what he did... he simply knew something was wrong.
Radar Update (10/3/2026 at 4:16 PM EDT): Scattered showers across northeast SC and southeast NC. Highest estimates have over 2 inches fallen so far in northern New Hanover County.
Isolated flash flooding remains possible this afternoon and evening. #ncwx#scwx
@RealTomPowellJr Completely disagree sir. Doctor took it personal, because it affects her income, Period. It’s a fact. I support this mama! And no I’m not an antivaxxer, I’m a protective mama GRIZZLY. 🥰
So, last night in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, what should have been just nuisance flooding turned into something quite a bit more; and it didn’t have to be this way.
Here’s the thread of how it all went down…
First, here’s a drone shot of the flooding that occurred during last night‘s high tide.
@hurricanetrack The internet is gonna do its thing, someone knows who that is. Sucks to be them, especially if they are storytelling and this follows. 😳🤣
