Just a year of full-time remote work. I have mastered asynchronous communication (I couldn't find a simpler word). I may have also forgotten how to make small talk.
The transportation time I saved is real but what I lost is as well.
Running into a collegue randomly during the day, the random lunchs, those conversation that was never planned but somehow became the best idea of the month.
Those do not happen on Slack or teams and going back to the office is not the answer. Doing nothing is not either.
