BTS back in LA for four nights at SoFi.
I had the privilege of spending those months in LA with them as they debated, agonized, experimented and tried to figure out what this return was going to be. What stayed with me was how much they thought about ARMY through all of it. So to finally sit among ARMY at SoFi and see that relationship up close, from the other side, was pretty incredible.

I was also really appreciative of those who came up to tell me how much they loved BTS: THE RETURN, especially those who told me they watched it again before the concert. It meant a lot to know the film had become a small part of how they experienced this return too.

On the first night, RM called LA their "second hometown," tracing their history here from KCON and American Hustle Life in 2014 to making ARIRANG here last year.

I spent months watching them think about what it would mean to come back to ARMY. Sitting among ARMY at SoFi, I realized there were parts of that story I could only understand once they did.

What difference a year makes. These are right at the exact same part of Spring Day. He was on his knees with emotions of the past and the yearning for what the future holds for him and his brothers. Yesterday on the last day of their North-Am tour he cheers us with air smooches and bright eyes as his Army grapple with our own emotions on missing them and also of the past, present and future with them.
