@redcardhater@NealGardner_ This is a non-argument. Cancelo was in the Saudi league and he snatched Balde’s spot. Osimhen suffered personal issues with the Napoli leadership that’s why he ended up in turkey, it was not for sporting reasons.
Morocco vs. CAF 👇
1. Failure by CAF to apply its own regulations
CAF failed to apply its own regulations.
Both the match commissioner and the referee clearly stated in their reports that the Senegal team left the pitch.
In this specific case, Articles 82 and 84 of the Disciplinary Code provide for strict and automatic sanctions.
These articles were simply not applied.
This constitutes a serious breach of the principle of equality before the rules.
⸻
2. Blatant disproportionality of sanctions
The sanctions imposed are totally disproportionate and incomprehensible.
Saibari received a three-match suspension for moving a towel.
Samuel Eto’o was suspended for four matches for losing his temper in the stands.
Yet a coach who sabotaged a continental final in front of the entire world by deliberately leaving the pitch receives only a five-match suspension.
This reflects a completely incoherent hierarchy of offences, contrary to all sporting and disciplinary logic.
