पाँच साल पहले सबसे अधिक यही सवाल देश और उत्तराखंड के सामने तैर रहा था, जब सीएम का चयन हुआ था। लेकिन सिर्फ़ पाँच साल में, जब देश के परफ़ॉर्म करने वाले मुख्यमंत्रियों का सवाल उठता है, तो अब उसका जवाब यही आता है_-पुष्कर सिंह धामी।

राज्य की जीएसडीपी डेढ़ गुना बढ़ी, ₹3.5 लाख करोड़ से अधिक के निवेश MoU साइन हुए और ₹1 लाख करोड़ से ज़्यादा का निवेश धरातल पर उतरा। सड़क, रेल, रोपवे और कनेक्टिविटी में अभूतपूर्व काम हुआ। NITI आयोग के SDG इंडेक्स में उत्तराखंड देश में शीर्ष स्थान पर पहुँचा। 23,000 से अधिक युवाओं को पारदर्शी भर्ती प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से नौकरियाँ मिलीं।

कुल मिलाकर भाजपा शीर्ष नेतृत्व की उत्तराखंड में नेता तैयार करने की टेंशन समाप्त हो गई है। उत्तराखंड में पुष्कर सिंह धामी एक जन नेता के तौर पर स्थापित हो चुके हैं।

उत्तराखंड के 25 साल के इतिहास में यह पहली बार है, जब किसी मुख्यमंत्री को लेकर यह धारणा बनी है कि वह पूरे राज्य का नेता है, किसी एक मंडल का नहीं।

@pushkardhami ने मुख्यमंत्री रहते हुए क्षेत्रवाद की उस दीवार को तोड़ दिया है, जो राज्य के गठन के बाद लगभग हर सरकार के साथ जुड़ी रही।

गढ़वाल मंडल के संदर्भ में देखें तो चारधाम ऑल वेदर रोड, केदारनाथ पुनर्निर्माण, हेमकुंड साहिब रोपवे, सीमांत गढ़वाल की सड़क कनेक्टिविटी, उत्तरकाशी सुरंग हादसे में नेतृत्व और अंकिता भंडारी जैसे संवेदनशील मामले में लिया गया कठोर निर्णय यह दिखाता है कि गढ़वाल केवल प्रशासनिक क्षेत्र नहीं, बल्कि उनकी राजनीति का केंद्रीय आधार बन चुका है।

यही कारण है कि आज धामी की स्वीकार्यता गढ़वाल में केवल सरकार के मुखिया के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि अपने नेता के रूप में दिखाई देती है। यह कहना अतिशयोक्ति नहीं होगा कि वर्तमान समय में उनकी राजनीतिक स्थिति ऐसी है कि वे गढ़वाल की किसी भी विधानसभा सीट से चुनाव लड़कर जीतने की क्षमता रखते हैं।
