@Rtem1ss If anyone tells you a character is ooc just tell them it’s a fic. A character is going to be ooc regardless because they’ve never been written in this setting or with x y or z. Fics are purely self indulgent just write what you’d enjoy and someone will definitely enjoy it too

No? Why would anyone assume that. I assume if something isn’t tagged, it isn’t there and therefore is canon. Meaning it’s a strict t/b for Ilya and Shane. If a fic isn’t tagged cheating for those two I’m not going to assume there’s cheating cuz they don’t cheat in canon, right?

@staarvchaser Yeah two things can be true at once but don’t like don’t read was made and popularised because it was a principle to use when you saw fics on ao3 with tags you didn’t like. It doesn’t work if those tags never existed

@lalahona2 I feel it’s more 1-10k can be a one shot (10k one chapters go hard). 5k-50k is standard average (although probs more 5k-30k), 50k+ is worldbuilding and like takes a day to read.

@staarvchaser Authors can tag however they want yes but it shouldn’t be taboo to ask an author to add a tag to their fic. If the author doesn’t want to we have the ability to ignore or delete comments

@staarvchaser It’s entitled to expect tags be used in an archive? And again dldr can’t apply if you don’t know if what you don’t like is in the fic. If I waste 2hrs of my life to find out a tag I hate is in a fic I would ask the tag be added. Again I don’t care for t/b, not my argument

@staarvchaser Yes because it features canon divergence topics such as infidelity which is also tagged, if infidelity is tagged you would assume every canon divergent topic is tagged.
