Yes, I am taking this seriously, but given how many times I've had to deal with hacked websites, I'm not panicking.

Here are a few reasons why you shouldn't worry too much about this week's PHP news.

1, that issue needs to be solved on the server level by hosting companies. It's not something that a website can fix too fix.

2, it is such a serious issue that almost every hosting company dealt with it in a few hours.
3, even in a worst case scenario, so long as you took basic steps like making sure you have daily backups of your website, it is really not that hard to de-hack your website.

There are bunches of ways the developers could have improved the interface or other functionality, but no, Whova decided to add AI.

Okay, now this is annoying.

This morning I was filling out my profile in Whova in anticipation of going to WFC later this week. A few minutes ago I went back in the app to discover that Whova decided unilaterally to scrape my LinkedIn profile and add a bunch of shit.

I did not give Whova a link to my profile, nor did I ask for this.

I have to assume this is an example of an AI being left alone to run amuck. That is annoying, but what really sucks is that Whova is otherwise a fairly shitty app.
