Gin’s been around since way before any of this shit got complicated. Before the club, before wives and old ladies, before responsibilities started piling up and life stopped being simple. Hell, we were teenagers when this friendship started, and somehow, after everything we've been through, she's still here.

That says a hell of a lot.

I've watched Red grow up. I've watched her make mistakes, pick herself back up, get pissed at the world, laugh until she couldn't breathe, and somehow always find her way through whatever life threw at her. She's seen me at my best and, unfortunately for her, she's seen me at my absolute worst too.

And she never walked.

That's what makes her my best friend.

There ain't many people who knew me before the crown, before the responsibilities, before I had to be the guy everyone expected to have the answers. Red knew the kid underneath all that. She knew me when we were just trying to figure out who the hell we were going to become.

And no matter how much life changed, she never started treating me like someone different.

Then there was Opie.

My best friend and hers eventually finding each other was probably one of those things life had planned long before any of us realised it. But Red was my friend first, and nothing is ever gonna change that. She's family. She's been family since we were kids.

She's the person I can call when I don't need advice, when I don't need someone trying to fix shit, when I just need someone who already knows.

She knows my silences.

She knows when I'm pissed.

She knows when I'm lying about being fine.

She knows when I'm lying full stop.

And somehow, she still puts up with me.

That's Red.

Loyal as hell. Fierce as hell. Stubborn as hell.

And one of the very few people in this world I'd trust with my back without ever looking over my shoulder.

So yeah, this one's for you, Red.

For all the years behind us, all the shit we've survived, and all the memories still ahead.
