A video of an Indian police officer being called a "Khalistani" & getting abused by BJP politicians, supporters, & Hindu Nationalists for wearing a turban has gone viral. Sikhs have been increasingly facing hate, disinfo, & discrimination in India.

BJP IT Cells often attack Sikhs fighting for their rights, including self determination, by suggesting they are "Khalistanis" and "not real Sikhs." This Anti-Sikh hate has now extended to even uniformed officers of the state, showing the extent of Hindu Nationalist vitriol against the minority group, Sikhs are pointing out online.

Khalistan is a Sikh movement for self determination, and is not seen as a derogatory term within the community, yet is used as a term by Hindu and Indian Nationalists to other Sikhs who speak out about grievances with the Indian government, from the Sikh Genocide to the Farmers' Protest.

BREAKING | A young farmer, Shubh Karan Singh, has been shot & killed by the police at the Khanauri border farm leaders have just shared. They stated that the draconian war-like response from the government against their protest is akin to how a country attacks foreign invaders.

Police have put up barriers, indiscriminately used tear gas, and fired "plastic" bullets point blank at farmers trying to get to Delhi to protest against broken government promises on MSP and other policies after the first agitation.
