@lakes_eco_van @ecocars1 I had the 28kWh Ioniq, which was a great car, 5 to 6 m/kWh with ~70kW charging - a great step up from the Leaf. The 38kWh suffered with slow charging due to inadequate cooling, the turnoff for me - same as the 38kWh Kona, about 35kW max. Still economical, though, once charged.

@brightonsnapper Our conventional drier is in the garage - only bought it 2 years ago. I looked a the heat pump ones then, but they can’t be outside in the winter, which is when it’s used most. Rest of the year we hang drying on the line, when we can. A heat pump drier is no use to us, really

@A_MrBenMitchell @Jfad2000uk @stbryers All EVs (including Tesla), need brakes servicing at least every 2 years or they rust & seize up due to lack of use especially in salty winters. Ideally service every year, to be confident that the brakes will work when you really need them. Or buy cheapo tyres & don't bother!

@onlydlb @raimonick No cobalt in most new car traction batteries. Plenty of cobalt in phones, laptop PCs, tablets and more still sacrificially used in refining petrol. Are you ashamed?

@evmanuk @DickyWoodbine There were queues around Eastbourne this morning. Sadly, most of the rapid chargers are in petrol stations (MFG, BP, Shell, etc) and inaccessible. Fortunately, I mostly charge at home, nearby.
