Didn’t want to create something new, a bit of creative block tonight. I decided to ink over an old sketch. I used to to this a ton. I like how this turned out so maybe I should do more. #Bedtimesketch#bluepencil#brushpen#moleskine#sketchbook
My son has to do a report on Zeus for school, so naturally I get to illustrate the cover. Quick #bedtimesketch with my #bluepencil#redpencil combo. Just a quick concept, we’ll refine it tomorrow before inking.
I used to use the #kirbydot, sometimes called #kirbykrackle, quite frequently in backgrounds. It’s been a long time since I took advantage of it. I tried two versions here. The left with the closely spaced large dots. On the right, small dots with more white space.
I got lost part way into this. Dude should have been holding a knife, maybe a sword, but then I thought “maybe he was stabbed or shot with a huge arrow” but the the hands didn’t look right. So I called it a night and gave up. #Bedtimesketch#bluepencil#moleskine sketchbook.
Dragon bird? Scary emu maybe? I don’t often add color so you people have been spoiled with back to back color postings. Pencil, brush pen, water color, molskine sketchbook. #Bedtimesketch
Started with a bunch of faces. Quick, only a few seconds each. I think I overworked the concept since I liked it much more about half way between starting and finishing. Oh well, that’s why I draw. To learn and get better. #bedtimesketch#moleskine#bluepencil
Who doesn’t love a good “chicken in a robot suite” sketch? I know I do. That said, I should have stopped sooner. I feel like this got over worked. #bedtimesketch#pencilsketch Colored pencil, #moleskine sketchbook
PSA for 2021: Never trust a smiling robot, and don’t do drugs. Oh, one more: the answer is never aliens... until it’s aliens. Hope everyone has a great new year. #psa#pencilsketch#bedtimesketch
