I usually don't tweet about Milgram, but Mikoto's trial 3 was SO BAD. I have so many issues with the writing and how the characters act.

@kiks_kd I can't blame you for it and I do feel bad for all of the people who hoped that Mikoto's DID would be given a good rep. I truly hope you feel better soon 🫂

@jailrotting I agree because it feels like the whole translation issue of "Haruka is being infantalized" again because Milgram likes to baby characters to garner sympathy

@yotsubataakun That's my main issue with all of the voice dramas because it's clear the writers want us to feel sympathy for all of the prisoners through Es comforting them.

@r468_03 No literally because John isn't helping or even protecting Mikoto from his stressful work environment from killing innocent people. How are we supposed to feel bad for John when he had no reason for killing 12 people?

@halfofyourcat Not even getting rid of the root of Mikoto's stress which is his coworkers...like what was John even doing fronting and lashing out at random people he saw?? It doesn't protect Mikoto and doesn't even help in the long run.

@draccherii @tillbugs Yes this!! It would've made more sense if John helped shield Mikoto from forms of abuse he experiences in his toxic workplace and family. And John lashing out and killing Mikoto's boss would've been way more interesting than 12 innocent victims being killed

@nappingari It's so disturbing, especially when during the voice drama Es tries to excuse all of John's actions when all of the victims were clearly innocent and had nothing to do with Mikoto...

@SEASPlRIT MIKOTO AND MAHIRU GEN HAD THE WORST TIME IN T3 😭 Both had so much potential to be nuanced and interesting, but fell flat with poor explanations for behaviors that realistically would not happen.

@draccherii @tillbugs Fr because the victims were innocent people who were uninvolved with Mikoto's distress from work. And since John is the "protector" alter he should've been the one fronting during times when Mikoto is actually stressed (like when he's at work with the coworkers" to protect him

@doveedoll_ Also I didn't like how they were treating John in the voice drama like his murder is excused for being an alter...just admit writers that you want us to feel bad and vote all inno for the prisoners 😭 Even if it means you're giving bad rep to a very real mental disorder

@doveedoll_ It is so buns and from what I know about DID it def was based on stereotypes 😭 You don't just randomly crash out and create an alter, there has to be some traumatic experience at a young age for that to happen...
