CRITICALITY NUMBER THREE! 🎉
On June 30, 2026, at around 11:55 PM MDT, @DeployableE’s Unity microreactor achieved initial criticality at @INL. It is the third nuclear test reactor this year to go critical under @ENERGY authorization.
Congratulations to Deployable Energy on reaching this historic milestone!
.@INL was honored to host @SecretaryWright to celebrate executive orders signed last May to accelerate advanced #NuclearReactors achieving criticality. Watch the recap! ⚛️⬇️

The first advanced #NuclearReactor achieved criticality under @ENERGY's Reactor Pilot Program recently! But what does achieving criticality mean? ⚛️💫
It means a reactor achieves a self-sustaining chain reaction. More on our new reactor #criticality page: https://t.co/7xfvw2zh4W
At 6-foot-8, Tanner Mauseth stands out. So does his work at @INL.🔬
Mauseth uses advanced microscopes and precision testing tools to study irradiated #nuclear material, support #NuclearResearch and train the next generation of scientists.
