"Not Reporting to Work Was My Responsibility... There Was No Conspiracy" - Song Mino 😔

Reporter Lee Dasom, Intern Reporter Kim Beomjun, Song Minho ( 33 ) of the group 'Winner', who is suspected of having been absent without permission for 102 days while serving as a social service agent, claimed that he did not conspire with the service management supervisor and that his desertion was due to health problems and his own responsibility.

On the afternoon of the 14th the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 10 (Judge Seong Jun-gyu) held a trial hearing for Song Minho and service management supervisor Mr. Lee, who were indicted on charges including violation of the Military Service Act. Song Min-ho, whose defense was concluded at the previous trial, appeared in court today as a witness requested by Mr. Lee.

He also answered "no" to the question, "Did you conspire with the defendant in this case?" and "No" to the question, "Did you ever discuss together how to desert your service?" While

Song Minho admitted to going fishing with Lee and lending him money, he drew a line, stating, "It was not for quid pro quo, but based on our friendship," and "It has nothing to do with deserting my service." He

continued, "The defendant once asked me to report to work properly," adding, "However, I was unable to comply with such requests due to health issues."

When asked if he intended to complete his service to the end, he replied, "It was a desire to finish my service to the very end. It is something I regret now."

During the subsequent cross-examination, the prosecution pressed him on whether Lee had allowed his absences and subsequently processed his service status normally.

In response, Song Min-ho stated, "(Lee) was very considerate of my condition," adding, "There were times when I rode a motorcycle to work on days with heavy snow, and he was considerate of that. In particular, my physical condition was poor during the winter due to depression and other factors."

However, he stated, "It is my responsibility that I did not come to work," adding, "I am not sure how the approval process turned out, but I believe it is my fault regarding my commute."

The court plans to resume the trial on August 20 at 5 p.m. to conduct the defendant's examination of Mr. Lee.
