@kasal_finley Also, people go to community college, then transfer to a nearby state school so they can live at home. That's how smart poor people try to not go into crazy debt. And they work a ton of hours while in school.

@jsench I frequently want to do things in a way that Canvas isn't set up for. I think the only way, given that you are forced to use Canvas is to try to get the Canvas settings as close as possible or disable things and then tell the students over and over.

Who has thought about universal design for learning? I think our university classes should assume that students are dealing with trauma, mental health issues, family/personal crises, and learning differences. How do we get there?

@MikesPhotosUs I do that. But also in my new neighborhood there are a lot of cool spots I didn't find until I could actually explore.

@McCJohnW This year will be 10 classes, 9 different preps, only 3 new/redesigned. And I'm tenured. Also teaching GIS means constant learning of new tech and resigning of classes. This is insanity.
