That’s how you introduce yourself, no quotes from anybody, just you & your life experiences. Eloquence 💯, choice of words is even more than 💯.

Your speech doesn’t need to be overly academic or packed with book references & quotes. Calm down, digest what you want to say, and deliver it without looking like you want to poopoo.

Agreed, but that does not answer the point I raised.

The fact that the ADC presidential candidate, VP candidate, DG, DDG, etc., were formerly members of APC or other political parties does not mean every act of cross-carpeting should escape scrutiny.

My argument was never that changing political parties is wrong.

The young man says he was promised DDG New Media. The PCC list comes out and the position goes to someone else. He leaves the ADC the next day. Forty-eight hours later, he is pictured with Seyi Tinubu saying he now knows better.

Aren’t we supposed to interrogate his intentions from the start?

There is a difference between political realignment and abandoning a political platform immediately after a personal expectation is not met. Pointing to older politicians who have moved between parties does not address my point.

More importantly, why should the conduct of the older generation become the standard by which our own generation excuses itself?

It disgusts me, as a young person, to see people in my generation who have spent years condemning older politicians for opportunism, betrayal and transactional politics reproduce the same behaviour at the first disappointment and then defend it on the basis that “they did it too.”

Gimba, you are one of the brightest minds we have on these streets, and I am convinced you understand the point.

If we believe this political culture is broken, then our responsibility as young people should be to break the cycle, not inherit it.

Otherwise, are we really getting involved in politics to change the Nigerian political culture we have spent years condemning, or are we simply navigating our way to the top to do worse than the people we condemn?

You're right. In fact, the entire north is for ADC. H.E Atiku is the only candidate with unscathed, untainted and undiluted assurances of highest number of votes and 25% constitutional thresholds in all the 19 northern states.

With H.E Ameachi on board as VP candidate, the brutal fact which hurts Obi and Tinubu like plague is that @atiku will still doggedly drag the whole of southern region with both of them, all thanks to Atiku's subsidy restoration policy and national appeal.

No fears. Atiku will be declared the 17th substantive president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in May, 2027.
