💢 URGENT: Teen Cheerleader Found Dead, Person of Interest Sought

¦ Tragic news from Edna, Texas, where 16-year-old Lizbeth Medina was found dead in her apartment by her mother, Jacqueline Medina. Lizbeth, a cheerleader, was missing from a Christmas parade performance, prompting her mother's search.

¦ The Edna Police Department responded to the scene. Despite attempts at medical intervention, Lizbeth was pronounced dead. The Texas Department of Public Safety is assisting in what is believed to be a capital murder investigation.

¦ Authorities released images of a male person of interest. He may have a tattoo behind his right ear and was last seen wearing a black Volcom hooded sweatshirt. The individual was also seen driving a silver Ford Taurus, estimated model year 2010-2018.

¦ Chief of Police Rick Boone stated they are working to bring the responsible party to justice, while maintaining the integrity of the investigation. An autopsy report is pending.

¦ The Medina family recently moved to Edna, a small city in southeast Texas. Lizbeth's school held a tribute before a football game, with her cheerleading squad and family wearing purple, her favorite color.

¦ A candlelight vigil in Lizbeth's honor is scheduled at the Jackson County Courthouse. The community is mourning the loss of an individual described by her mother as having a "kind heart."

🕯️ In light of this ongoing investigation and out of respect for student safety, the vigil location was changed from Edna High School to the courthouse.

Mainstream Media now confirming what we on Twitter knew last night.

Today we know the perimeter is 10 square miles. That's a lot. No green Hoodie. Now he is wearing blue pants and boots. No shirt that we know of.

Even with FLIRs, air support, dogs, horses and 300 to 440 trained officers and agents, it's a large and challenging area to keep a 5'0 little man on a mission not to get caught, contained.
